Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority Honoured As Top Strategic Government Entity In The Emirate

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah honoured Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) last night at the 12th edition of the SAQR Awards.  The award ceremony, organized by the Sheikh Saqr Program for Government Excellence, saw RAKTDA take first place amongst government entities for its success in achieving its strategic goals.

Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA received the award and said: “In 2016 we set out our Destination 2019 strategy with a clear roadmap for the sustainable growth of tourism in the Emirate.  Many of our strategic goals have now been met and we continue on our journey to bring 1 million visitors to Ras Al Khaimah by the end of 2018 and 2.9 visitors by 2025.  I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to his Highness for this great honour and recognizing the work of the team at RAKTDA.”
